Cimarron River Stampede Rodeo
Every August since the 1930s, the town of Waynoka in northwest Oklahoma has hosted the Cimarron River Stampede, a three-night rodeo with bareback and saddle bronc riding, bull riding, roping, steer wrestling and barrel racing. Between performances come a Saturday morning parade through downtown, kids night with a calf scramble, and dances after the rodeo on Friday and Saturday.
